NaturaLawn of America, Frederick, Md., has introduced NP, a fertilizer that eliminates the need for phosphorus applied to lawns. This would prevent runoff into streams, which would cost $200 per pound to remove. The company also offers a lawn care service that protects watersheds by limiting the amount of chemicals that are used.
