Franchise Resource Center Press Release CDC and Aventis contract For Tick Ranger®, A division of NaturaLawn of America, New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, CT-Tick Ranger®, a division of NaturaLawn of America is now providing a study using environmentally friendly tick prevention bait box care for Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Development in conjunction with the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, according to Richard Leonard, owner and operator of the franchise in New Canaan, CT.

“We are very pleased to add the CDC to our roster of clients in the area.” Leonard exclaims. “We will be providing them with very important data and information that is cutting edge technology for the reduction of ticks and the control of Lyme disease.”

Tick Ranger® has already been hard at work, placing over 1700 bait boxes out in homeowner’s yards in the southern Fairfield county areas. Tick Ranger® is providing installation, maintenance, and disposal of fipronil bait boxes. It is an environmentally safer alternative to what the present tick control companies are doing when they use a variety of chemicals and pesticides.

“Instead,” states Leonard, “Tick Ranger® by NaturaLawn of America offers customers a safer alternative to traditional methods of tick control and the prevention of Lyme disease. We believe this is an important study with the bait boxes, and is one more example of how NaturaLawn Of America continues to practice IPM (Integrated Pest Management) in all phases of our business.”

Tick prevention is not the only aspect of NaturaLawn of America; the New Canaan franchise also offers environmentally friendly lawn care that includes natural organic-based nutrients and biological products. They also help correct existing soil deficiencies and develop a healthy and resilient lawn—a lawn that is ecologically safer for humans, animals, the soil and our water resources.

Headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, NaturaLawn of America currently has 55 independently owned franchise locations serving environmentally concerned customers in 25 states.
